Event Terms and Conditions
 

1. Introduction

1.1 These terms and conditions ("Terms") apply to all visitors ("Visitors") attending one  of the Brixton events ("Event") organized by Brixton Amsterdam (“Brixton”).
 

2. Ticket Purchase and Entry

2.1 Visitors must purchase a valid ticket to gain entry to the Event. Tickets can be purchased online or at the venue, subject to availability. An entry ticket is given out only once and gives access to one person. Loss, damage, theft or abuse of an entry ticket will be for the account of the Visitor from the moment the entry ticket has been purchased.

2.2 Visitors must present a valid entry ticket along and may be requested to present a valid photo ID for entry to the Event. Visitors may be denied entry if they are not able to provide such or if Brixton suspects the entry ticket is not valid or suspects the entry ticket is not valid (the Visitor will need to prove validity by showing a proof of payment).

2.3 Entry to the Event is subject to age restrictions as set by local laws and regulations and with a minimum of 23 years. Visitors must comply with these age restrictions and may be denied entry if they don’t.

2.4 Visitors need to cooperate in case of a body search before gaining access to the Event. In case of denying cooperation, access to the Event may be denied without any obligations to compensate the Visitor for any damages or refund of their entry ticket.
 

3. Visitor obligations

3.1 The Visitor will abide to the house rules, general terms and conditions and other rules/regulations made applicable by Brixton. The Visitor will also abide the law, all applicable regulations and the rules of public order. Visitors will behave respectfully. In case of any violation in the view of Brixton, Brixton may deny further access to the Event, without prejudice to Brixton’s right to claim damages arising from this.

3.2 It is prohibited for Visitors to bring professional photo-, film- and other recording electronics to the location of the Event. Such electronics may be confiscated for the duration of the Event. Any professional registration of the Event including photography, filming or other recordings is prohibited, as well as copying the program, posters, flyers and other promotional materials. All registrations as such will be confiscated and destroyed.

3.3 The Visitor will need to comply with all instructions and directions from Brixton and its crew, third parties engaged by Brixton, the location staff and other authorized parties.

3.4 It is prohibited for Visitors to spread flyers, hang posters and/or banners or conduct other promotional activities on the Event or around the location of the Event, without explicit written consent of Brixton. Spreading free samples or selling goods is prohibited as well.

3.5 In situations not covered by these general terms and conditions, Brixton has the discretion to decide on the possible measures to be taken by it, which shall be binding.
 

4. Brixton organization rights

4.1 In the event of violation by the Visitor of (one or more of) the provisions mentioned in these general terms and conditions (especially under paragraph 3), Brixton is entitled to invalidate the admission ticket and/or deny the Visitor (further) access to the Event without the Visitor being entitled to any  refund. Holders of invalidated admission tickets are not entitled to any refund or compensation otherwise.

4.2 Brixton reserves the right at all times to deny the Visitor (further) access to deny the Event or remove the Visitor if Brixton reasonably considers this necessary to maintain peace and quiet order during the Event.

4.3 Any announcement by Brixton for a line-up of artists, location, etc. is not binding and can be subject to changes. Brixton is always entitled to make changes, which never gives the Visitor a right to compensation.

4.4 Brixton and its artist are entitled to make photo, film and sound recordings and use these recordings for promotional activities for Brixton or third party (partners/sponsors). Visitors appearance included in recordings cannot give rise to any compensation.
 

5. Ticket Refunds and Exchanges

5.1 In the event of violation by the Visitor of (one or more of) the provisions mentioned in these general terms and conditions (especially under paragraph 3), Brixton is entitled to invalidate the admission ticket and/or deny the Visitor (further) access to the Event without the Visitor being entitled to any  refund. Holders of invalidated admission tickets are not entitled to any refund or compensation otherwise.

5.2 Tickets may not be exchanged or transferred without the prior written consent of Brixton.
 

6. Liability and Responsibility

6.1 Visitors attend the Event at their own risk. Brixton, its agents, and affiliates are not liable for any loss, injury, damage, or theft of personal property incurred during the Event, unless such damage is the result of intent or proven gross negligence by Brixton. In case of liability of Brixton, damages are limited to the amount actually paid out by the insurance of Brixton for such situation. Not eligible for compensation are consequential damages, non-material damages and damages caused by intent or gross negligence on the part of Brixton third parties, location staff and assistants of Brixton.

6.2 Any claims against Brixton should be made within 7 days following the respective Event in writing and including the original entry ticket and original proof of payment and will be reviewed as soon as possible.

6.3 Entry of the venue of the event by a Visitor is for Visitor’s own risk and account en Brixton will not be liable for damages as a result of the Visitor attending the Event. Visitors are responsible for their personal belongings during the Event.

 

7. Food and Beverage

7.1 The Event will include a 3-course brunch. Dietary restrictions and allergies should be communicated in advance to Brixton and Brixton will try its best to accommodate such, but accommodations are not guaranteed. A Visitor with allergies should be extra aware that such allergies are actually accommodated and such remains solely the risk of Visitor.

7.2 Alcohol consumption is allowed only to those of legal drinking age. Brixton reserves the right to refuse service to anyone deemed intoxicated.
 

8. Photography and Filming

8.1 Photography and filming may take place during the Event. By attending the Event, Visitors consent to being photographed and filmed, with the understanding that such content may be used for promotional purposes.
 

9. Cancellation or Postponement

9.1 The Event Organizer reserves the right to cancel or postpone the Event for reasons beyond their control, including but not limited to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, ticket refunds of a maximum of the ticket price or another amount or rescheduling options may be provided at Brixton's discretion. In case of a rescheduling to another date, the entry ticket will remain valid for the new date. In such case, the Visitor has no right to compensation.
 

10. Other

10.1 When is being referred to Brixton, this also refers to the individual organizers of the event, any associated legal persons and any persons involved as per the request of Brixton or their organizers. When is being referred to the venue or location of the Event, this refers to actual location of the Event as well as all terrains, (public) spaces, fields etc. surrounding the venue/location where the Event is taking place.

10.2 In the event that any provision within these general terms and conditions is declared null and void, in whole or in part, at any time, the remaining provisions will continue to be fully applicable under these general terms and conditions. In such a case, Brixton and the other party will engage in discussions to establish new provisions that will serve as replacements for the nullified or annulled provisions. These new provisions will aim to align with the original provisions' purpose and scope to the greatest extent possible.

10.3 If Brixton does not consistently require strict compliance with these terms, it does not imply that the provisions are not applicable, or that Brixton forfeits its right to insist on strict compliance with these terms in other cases.

10.4 Brixton reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Event's official website.

 

 

11. Governing Law

11.1 These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

 

By purchasing a ticket and attending the Event, Visitors acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
